FireBrick FB105 optional features are controlled through the use of feature tokens
and installation keys. On this page you can assign a feature token to
your FireBrick and obtain the installation key needed to enable new features
on your FireBrick. Available features are described here.
See below for a more detailed description of the feature process.
Obtaining new features is not the same as upgrading the software in your FireBrick
which you can do at any time and is free of charge.
Software upgrades may enhance
existing features or even add new free features, but will not allow you to use
features you have not purchased.
A FireBrick can have a number of features, some of which are installed when
it is supplied, and some of which are optional extras which can be added later.
To buy FireBrick features you need to contact your supplier. Your supplier will
obtain a feature token. Dealers may give you the feature
token for you to use on this web page, or they may assign it to your FireBrick
ready for you to install. If your dealer has a login on your FireBrick
then they may activate the feature for you and you will have to do nothing more.
Contact your dealer for more details.
If you have been given a feature token, which looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, then you
can assign it to a specific feature on your FireBrick using this web page.
Feature tokens can be used once for one feature upgrade on one
FireBrick only - check the manuals
for details of each feature.
After assigning a new feature to your FireBrick, you can activate it using the
displayed installation key.
When you buy a new FireBrick and request features with your purchase, your
supplier may provide your feature tokens with the FireBrick, or may have
assigned them ready for you to install. You can normally activate any assigned
features on a FireBrick automatically on-line by pressing one button.
If you are not sure about any aspect of buying and installing features, contact
your supplier for advice.
